A Q&A With Myself.

Q : How or where did you get the domain name?
A : I was walking home from work one night and I said to myself “you’d better start taking more risks you bastard”. The next day I woke up and to my surprise takemorerisks.com was still available so I registered it and started the blog. I’d been an Adsense affiliate for several months before that but I was going nowhere and needed some inspiration.
Q : What’s your biggest check so far?
A : $443 in a month from the Allposters.com affiliate program. The Google Florida update put an end to that though. God bless poster-posters-buy-online.co.uk.
Q : Ever felt like quitting?
A : Yeah, immediately after I came up with the idea for “A Q&A With Myself”.
Q : Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?
A : Fuck knows really, I’ll probably be a health freak living in a remote part of Canada, cringing at all of my present entries. Either that or I’ll be working in a factory Belfast, married to a 31 stone girl from Armagh. No matter what happens I’ll still be scratching my balls compulsively.
Q : Why are you in the affiliate marketing business?
A : There is another way to life than the 9/5. Life’s too short to be tied down to routine. Especially if that routine takes you away from what you love. Life’s an adventure and then you die, it’s the only thing that’s certain. I’ve nothing to lose by trying something different.
Q : Favourite places?
A : Belfast, Edinburgh and Dublin in that order. In fact those are the only cities I’ve been in. I’ve lived a sheltered life thus far.
Q : Favourite alcoholic drink?
A : Whisky/whiskey and amaretto. I like Wild Turkey Bourbon, even more so after I found out Hunter S Thompson drank it.
Q : Apple / Microsoft or Linux?
A : Whichever system does the job really. I’m really loving Vista though at the minute.
Q : Favourite computer games?
A : Final Fantasy 7 / Silent Hill 1 and the Championship/Football Manager series.
Q : Favourite books?
A : Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller. It has to be one of the best plays of the 20th century. I can relate quite a bit to Willy Loman too.
Q : Influences?
A : Bill Hicks, George Carlin, Tommy Boyd, Doug Stanhope and Chris Morris. Oh, Bill Bailey and Dylan Moran too. I like stand-up.
